Five Favorites from Fall
It’s the end of November, which technically means that the fall season has come and Winter is right around the corner. Now we know everyone is obsessed with pumpkin spice everything this time of year, but I have some personal food favorites to share that are relatively new to the market. So, it’s time to get over the PSL trend and get excited for these healthy fall snacks that are anything but basic.
Square Bar Organic Protein Bars
When it comes to organic, healthy, vegan protein bars, I consider myself the ultimate connoisseur. Kids are to candy as I am to snack bars. They are my favorite think to eat as a snack, and sometimes even double as a dessert. But, I am quite particular when it comes to their ingredients. No processed chemicals, no whey, casein or animal based protein powders, no cane sugar, etc. You get the gist. Well, Square Bars fit the bill. Not only are they derived from 100% pure and natural ingredients, but each one has 10-15 grams of protein, contains no cane sugar and are SO tasty. It’s like eating chocolate peanut butter brownies for a snack. How can you go wrong with that?
Forager’s Project Yogurt
Forager’s Project cashew-based 100% vegan yogurt is by far my favorite plant-based yogurt product on the market. There are several other brands who have developed vegan yogurt, and while some are good, nothing beats the creaminess and perfect consistency of Forager’s Project. The simple ingredients make it a great and guilt-free treat at any time of day. I like to personally enjoy it as dessert, topped with some granola and berries (so good!) Get your hands on this at Whole Foods, and you can thank me later.
365 Raspberry Beret Trail Mix
If you have a local Whole Foods near you, you must try their 365 Raspberry Beret trail mix. Filled with deliciously sweet dried raspberries, chocolate chip morsels, and crunchy peanuts and almonds, this fruit and nut mix is to die for. As a quick pre-workout snack or as a cheeky dessert after dinner, this mix si sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and simultaneously give you energy.
Vegan Dream Cheesecake
You can’t go wrong with another sweat treat, especially this Cherry Dream cheesecake from Earth Cafe. Found at Whole Foods (what can’t you find at Whole Foods), this vegan, gluten-free, raw dessert is healthy, yet overwhelmingly delicious. It’s made out of cashews, sweetened with agave, and won’t leave you feeling guilty you indulged. It’s definitely one of my fall faves, so I recommend checking it out. You won’t be disappointed. And one non-food favorite…
Voluspa Gogi, Taracco, and Orange Candle
During the fall season, there’s not much better than cuddling up in some blankets, lighting a yummy scented candle and soaking up all the holiday feels. This Gogi and Taracco scented candle isn’t your traditional gingerbread sugar cookie or fall leaves scent, but it IS refreshingly sweet and tangy and is guaranteed to make your room smell wonderful. It doesn’t hurt that the jar it coms in is beautifully designed, perfect to up-cycle into a pot for your succulents or a jar for makeup brushes.
If you desire other scents, Voluspa has a wide array of scents available on their website: Voluspa.com
